Is Global Career Track an official centre of IIT Madras or any IIT?
No. We are an independent learning- and career-support platform. We use institution names only to identify the pathway a student chooses. IIT Madras controls its own admissions, exams, fees and placement, and you apply to it directly.
Why does the home page show many programs instead of only IITM?
Because students arrive with different goals — school readiness, degree support, certifications or placement help. Showing every pathway lets you pick the one that fits you before diving into the detail.
Will every GCC city have a physical centre?
Centres open only after local approvals, trained faculty, suitable premises and a viable cohort are in place. Until then, you can study via live online, hybrid, weekend or your nearest hub.
Can a student switch to another city later?
Yes, usually at term boundaries — subject to batch availability, any fee adjustment, local rules, accommodation availability and parent consent where required.
Is an internship or job placement guaranteed?
No. We offer placement preparation — employer-style projects, interview training and conditional internship-support under written terms — but no job, internship, salary or employer selection can be guaranteed.
How does the Pay-It-Forward Access Fund work?
Eligible students may receive partial or full support. After finishing the program and securing stable work, they're encouraged to contribute back voluntarily so another student can benefit. It is not a loan and carries no interest, penalty, collateral, guarantee, legal recovery obligation or credit reporting.
